Insider and public access dates have come and gone, and the sale is in full swing. But how are my purchases working out? I’m breaking down the entire Nordstrom Sale experience and my sharing my purchase reviews to let you decide if its all really worth it.
The Nordstrom Sale Shopping Experience
Did this sale live up to the hype? Have you received your items yet? Should I even bother? Answering all of that and more here.
Were your sale items in stock?
All but this gorgeous The Marc Jacobs saddlebag that I REALLY wanted were in stock at the beginning of Insider access. So overall, not a bad selection. Shockingly enough, the Spanx faux leather leggings that everyone LOVES (and I own) didn’t totally sell out. If you haven’t grabbed these yet I highly recommend getting your hands on them now!
How long did it take for your sale items to arrive?
Most of my items took about one week to come, with one item taking a few extra days. My mother in law ordered all of her items on the same day and got some before me and some after, so it really depends on the product. She ordered more home decor and I ordered all women’s clothing/accessories.
Is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale worth it?
Yes. Honestly, this jacket alone was worth the wait and price. It was almost 50% off and I can’t stress this enough – it’s AMAZING. Which brings me to my next point: my purchase reviews.

What worked, what didn’t, and how it all fit for real sizing advice.
Zella 7/8 High Waist Studio Pocket Leggings
Originally: $65 // Sale: $42.90
First up are these amazing Zella 7/8 length high waist studio pocket crops (it has POCKETS, y’all). They feel like butter, and you feel AMAZING wearing them. These were 100% worth purchasing during the sale. I can already tell they’re going to be a fall staple, especially if staying at home continues to be a huge trend. These are look-good, feel-good leggings for the home, the gym and running errands alike.
Zella Studio Crop Lite Leggings
Originally: $55 // Sale: $35.90
Also a solid purchase. Same feedback as the 7/8 leggings above, just in crop length and without pockets. Will be great for late summer into fall before I transition into my 7/8 length pair!
Articles of Society Sarah Distressed Denim Jeans
Originally: $64 // Sale: $48.90
I really wanted these jeans to work because I love my black denim pair, but I’m disappointed in the sizing guidance on these. Not to say I couldn’t size up and make these work, but I also felt like there wasn’t a lot of room in the seat of the pants which is a deal breaker for me. I’ll just be sticking with this new, amazing pair from AE for now.
Quay Reina Blush Pink Cat Eye Sunglasses
Originally: $55 // Sale: $35.90
I’m not one to spend big money on sunglasses because they’re risky for me. I hate to admit it, but I throw them in my purse or car with no case and no cares most of the time. So finding a pair like this on sale was ideal. They’re VERY comfortable on your nose and ears – a huge factor for me. Hats off to the Quay team on their ergonomic design. These are 100% keepers.
BLANKNYC Good Vibes Faux Leather Moto Jacket
Originally: $98 // Sale: $56.90
This jacket is AMAZING! I have a black BLANKNYC faux leather moto jacket (almost identical to this one) that I absolutely love from years ago, so I wanted to grab this one in “Chatter Box” to round out my wardrobe. Ordered size XL based on their size chart – XL is comparable to size 14 – and I always order jackets up to be safe.
These jeans are from American Eagle pair and I’ve been recommending them to EVERYONE lately. Their Ne(x)t Level line is unbelievable – the stretch and comfort is REAL. I wear between a size US 12/14 and wear a US 12 in these and highly recommend grabbing a few pairs when they’re on sale!
