Gift Ideas for Santa: Age 0-3 Year Olds
This can be the trickiest category as kiddos can still be too little to have anything with small pieces they may swallow. Luckily, I’ve rounded up a few items we have and love, plus a bunch of other items that are well-rated and best-selling jut for you!
Tip: If mom hasn’t delivered yet (or did very recently), it may be a good idea to check her baby registry in case any of these are on there. Don’t want to buy any doubles!
Montessori Wooden Farm Game
This cute little farming set is great for littles 12 months and older. Not only is it cute, it’s great for building fine motor skills. There are two different set styles to choose from based on your littles own style or skill level!
Sing & Play Elephant
I bought this sing and play elephant for Alexis when she was two months old and to this day she still smiles when it starts up. We also got her the singing bunny during a Prime Sale, which was also a huge hit! These are well worth the spend, especially for the tiniest babies. The whimsical voices and adorable songs universally win them over. Just look at the 33,000 5-star reviews!
Lovevery Play Gym
This was probably our number one favorite thing we used during Alexis first six months. She absolutely loved all the features and functions and it was super easy for me to hang additional age appropriate toys off the wood bars. We also got the Lovevery Play Kits, which are a fantastic gift idea especially if your little is the parent’s first child. The Play Kits walk parents and babies through age appropriate play with high quality Montessori toys that will last for baby and all their siblings!
Farmer See and Say
I’m pretty sure I had and LOVED this exact farm animal toy as a kid. Recommended for ages 18 months and up, this toy will spin around when the cord is pulled and share the animal’s name it lands on and the noise they make. Would definitely ensure your little one isn’t afraid of any toys that make noise before committing to this gift. Some kids love it, but not all.
Cocomelon Boo Boo J.J. Kit
You won’t find this Amazon Exclusive anywhere else. If you’re the hip aunt/uncle who knows how to shop for their little, this toy is sure to be a hidden gem and win you mega cool points. This little one is known as J.J., the main character on Cocomelon. Grab this Cocomelon Boo Boo Kit toy gift idea for Santa for ages 2 and up, only on Amazon!
Baby Shark Sing & Swim Bath Toys
Who doesn’t know the Baby Shark song by now? Sorry in advance for putting this song in your head, but this is a great gift idea! These Baby Shark bath toys activate in water and sing the cute little tune during bath time. The product pages indicates they’re for ages 3+ but I say use your own judgement. I’d personally use these during bath time much sooner.
My First Baking Set
Baby GUND does it again! They have extremely cute “first” sets and this My First Baking Set caught my eye. In addition to the baking set, there are several other firsts on this same product page (fishing, sports and purse, which Alexis got as a gift and I LOVE).
Gift Ideas for Santa: Toddlers
In this category I’m sharing items for the 3-5 age bracket. Every kiddo is different, so be mindful of abilities and maturity when shopping. When in doubt, you can always ask mom or dad first, or just be sure to grab a gift receipt at checkout!
Little Tikes Basketball Hoop
This is a #1 Best Seller and a childhood staple! Pretty much every kid I knew growing up had one of these. While rated for 1 1/2 to 5 year olds, this kid’s basketball hoop will surely get a little more use from older kiddos. Highly recommend this basketball hoop especially if your gift receiver has a playroom or basement that gives them space to enjoy it all year-round!
Barbie Dreamhouse Doll House
One of the most recognizable gifts over generations has to be the Barbie Dreamhouse. A year doesn’t go by that I don’t hear about the latest and greatest in Barbie Real Estate luxury. If you’re looking to win the holiday season with your 3+ year old Barbie-loving kiddo, this is the gift with which to do it!
Cape Cottage Play House
I’ve always thought backyard playhouses were the coolest, even as an adult! They make them so cute and on-theme anymore. This particular playhouse is the Amazon’s Choice for “playhouses”. Literally, of all the general playhouses on Amazon this has been the best selling and most highly rated and it even comes with a few bells-and-whistles options.
Transformers Converting Dinosaur Figures
Being a girl mom I don’t know too much about Transformers, but being the Godmother of the coolest 8-year old boy out there, I know enough to know that Transformers are pretty cool! For ages 3+ this trio of popular Transformers characters all transform into different dinosaurs. If you have a dino and/or action figure loving kiddo, these are sure to be a total hit!
Building Block Castle Set
LEGOs were one of my FAVORITE toys as a kid! I was constantly building fortresses, castles, houses, villages.. you name it. The building block concept has really stood the test of time and today, have expanded with even more robust offerings. While not LEGO proper, this building block play castle set is rated for ages three and up. Younger kiddos can get in on the building at a younger age to work up to those crazy complex 1,000+ block sets!
Kid’s Play Couch
Win the holiday with this gift, hands down! Kids everywhere love play couches, especially for toy rooms or lounging areas for movie nights. With several color options, this play couch is a great alternative to the big brand name ones, and it shapes into several configurations. This is a gift idea for Santa they’ll use for years and years to come, not just in this 0-3 age range. This may be one to check with mom and/or dad on first, though! They may prefer certain colors for their home. If you’re unsure, definitely check.
Gift Ideas for Santa: 6+ Year Olds
I feel like gifting actually gets harder as they get older because they’re looking to other things like electronics and video games rather than traditional toys. But no fear, I’m rounding up some great ideas to keep them off the screens, if even just for a few minutes.
Monopoly Junior
We can hardly wait until Alexis is old enough to play board games! It’s one of our favorite group activities that we look forward to making a family tradition. This Monopoly Junior game is for ages 5+ so school-age kiddos can start learning to play before moving on to one of the hundreds of theme edition Monopoly’s they’ll surely own as they get older.
Build & Play LEGO Car
LEGOs only get cooler as you get older, I swear. This Amazon’s Choice is one of those fun cars that will go on its own after you pull it back. So not only do you get the fun activity of building the LEGO car, you can play with it for years afterwards. Win-win!
Realistic Play Kitchen
Older kids are much more aware of options and are more likely to think things look “babyish” or “for little kids” (insert eye roll here), even at just age five! However, this play kitchen is realistic looking and can really mimic mom/dad’s setup, which will surely be cool to those *extra opinionated* littles. It comes in both brown and white so you can pick one based on their style, too! However, if you’re looking to add a splash of color, this dish rack toy set is a cute pick!
My First Real Garden
I went looking specifically for a first real garden gift because I’m all for a toy/activity that teaches them real life skills. This particular option is the Amazon’s Choice for “my first garden”. It looks just like an adult garden, but the planter customization options will surely get your little excited to start their own! Oh, and don’t forget the garden gloves and tools.
LEGO Mandalorian Brick Headz Set
Baby Yoda, anyone? Mandalorian and The Child are BIG right now. Girls and boys ages 10+ alike will love receiving this adorable LEGO Brick Headz kit to build and play with afterwards. In my opinion, kiddos slightly younger may also enjoy this set as each character has under 115 pieces and may be a fun challenge for those who enjoy puzzles (and Star Wars!).
