For the first time ever I’m sharing our master bathroom. It was one of the more complete spaces early on, but as with most of the house, I felt it was still missing a few things and refrained from sharing. That’s still true today, but what room is ever truly 100% done, right? So, it’s time to share our beloved modern boho bathroom.
What is Modern Boho Style?
To me, it’s a mix of modern design elements and pieces with a bohemian aesthetic. Also, lots of greenery. I love all plants, everything from faux greenery to my house plants to my in-ground landscaping.
Specifically though, in our modern boho bathroom I use modern pieces for my larger, functional pieces and pepper in greenery and natural accents as decor.
Modern Bathroom Hardware and Lighting
If you’ve seen my guest bathroom, you’re going to recognize a lot of these pieces. We added a lot of the same functional pieces to all three of our bathrooms but adorned each with an overall different aesthetic.
First, we have our 3-sconce vanity lights. We have the same lights in different sizes in the other bathrooms. Our cabinet hardware was incredibly cost-effective from Amazon. We have the same matte black cabinet handles in the kitchen, too!
I highly recommend our faucets. We have this classic, sleek matte black Moen bathroom faucet in all three bathrooms and haven’t had any issues these first two years. Just out of sight, holding this gray hand towel is our matte black towel bar. While we bought most of our matte black hardware separately they all match perfectly.
The No-Crack hand cream is from Duluth Trading and Kev swears by it, the Flannel soap is from Bath & Body Works (and smells amazing for anyone, not just men) the Harry’s Face Wash and Vaseline Men Body Lotion are both linked.
Our XL bath sheets are a wedding registry must. They can wrap around even 6’7″ Kevin with extra room. Underneath them are our matte black towel hooks which are durable enough to hold these 40″ x 80″ bath towels.
Lastly, our matte black toilet paper holder is also Moen brand from Amazon. Can’t beat Prime delivery!
Oh, and this is our master bath closet. We’re grateful for the amount of storage it provides but part of me really wants a big soaker tub. For now, just a closet though.
Modern Boho Bathroom Decor
Majority of my decor in this space is either greenery or copper colored. I love the natural vibe I get from copper so I have it a lot throughout my house. I feel like in my head it’s because it’s like a brighter version of brown, which is also neutral. Unsure, but that’s my working theory.
Next, let’s talk about my shelving. Both sets of black shelves are identical and from Amazon, the ones over the toilet are just longer to fill the space. First, I purchased the set of black shelves between the sink to fill the space. I’m really pleased with how they came out!
My black electric toothbrush even matches the space (total coincidence), and is also from Amazon. My jewelry dish was a gift from years ago, I think from Kohl’s, but here’s a current very similar Mrs ring dish. This set of copper and acrylic apothecary jars is perfect for my Konjac charcoal sponges, cotton balls and cotton swabs.
Funny cotton swab story: I was at a garage sale years ago and the woman’s husband worked at the company that makes these, so she had a huge bowl of them in 10-packs for people to take. For whatever reason, I liked these black-handled ones and grabbed some. I only have about 30 of them so the whole jar is plain swabs with these in front for show. And yes, I only use the plain white ones in the back and refill them as needed. My mom laughs whenever she sees them, “who would honestly think to decorate with Q-tips?” (it’s me).
My two bath mats are from Target. They’re technically a dark charcoal gray and don’t make this exact one any more, but this black and white windowpane bath mat is crazy identical, just slightly darker.
Bathroom Greenery Decor
Now for the greenhouse corner of my bathroom! I’m still hoping to find a small framed piece of art, maybe something simple in black and white with a little saying to put under the shelves and above the tissue box on the toilet. It’s a large gap of space to just have blank, in my opinion.
These long black shelves are identical to the ones in between the sink and were hung at the exact same height for eye-pleasing symmetry when you look into the room. The copper alarm clock perfectly matched the other copper elements in here and serves a functional purpose, my favorite kind of decor!
The plants are all fake and were collected over various stops at the Target Dollar Spot, Walmart or Hobby Lobby. No direct links, but here’s a similar small boxwood plant in a neutral white pot for cheap. I suggest keeping your eyes peeled when out for other things because these little finds really appear out of nowhere! Leave a comment if you’re curious about a specific faux plant you see and I’ll do my best to find where I got it for you.
Functional Bathroom Vanity Details
This tray is what keeps my countertops clear of clutter. It was a Homegoods find so I don’t have a link, but surely you can find a very similar one easily. The acrylic jar trio holds my vitamins and supplements so I remember to take them daily. Plus, don’t they look nice displayed in these jars versus their word-ridden bottles?
I highly recommend having a tray, shelf or other designated spot to keep all your products so they don’t take over your counters. A clear counter is a clear mind, that’s my motto!

Soap and Lotion Dispensers
These brushed nickel soap and lotion dispensers are also, shocker, an Amazon find. I believe they came with an extra pump (at least when I bought them years ago) so I fit it to my micellar water for easy dispensing and a uniform look, especially since I removed the labels from the bottle. So much cleaner, right? Also, our wash cloths and hand towels are a set. I love how the color is so similar to the bath mats!
The natural woven basket was a random Homegoods/TJ Maxx find. If you’re looking for a similar one I recommend having the measurements of a standard tissue box on hand so you can buy one the right size when you’re out.
Pro Tip: Any time you know you’re on the hunt for a specific piece of decor, have any details you need to make a final purchase so you can avoid having to return items that don’t fit the bill, maybe even multiple times.
Alternatively, I recently moved my woven basket to the loft for controller storage and got this neutral tissue box cover for my primary bathroom and first floor powder room. I loved the powder room one so much I got a second one for up here! My tissue boxes are too big to fit in it so I just take the whole stack of tissues out and place them directly in there. They dispense as normal on their own, too!
More on how I’m upscaling my home with Amazon finds here!
If you’ve made it this far, I applaud you. Bathrooms are one of the most detailed spaces in a home so there’s a lot to share. Leave me questions about anything I missed in the comments, I’ll happily get back with links, recommendations and even edit items in as they come up.
Also be sure to share your favorite piece of modern boho bathroom decor in the comments!
