Baked Hot Ham Sandwich Ingredients

This recipe yield six sandwiches, making this a perfect way to meal prep for the week!

  • 1/2 pound of deli ham
  • 1/4-1/2 pound of Swiss cheese
  • 6 Italian rolls (~6″ size)
  • Butter

Making My Easy Hot Ham Sandwiches

Be prepared for the easiest assembly ever!

Before we get assembling, pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees.

Buttering Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches

First, split the Italian rolls in half. Butter both halves of the rolls on the inside.

Then, layer on 2-3 slices of your deli ham and 1 slice of Swiss cheese. You’ll likely use all of the ham but have some leftover cheese. I find you don’t need as much cheese typically, so save those leftovers for your regular sandwich lunches!

Oven Made Sandwiches

Once your sandwiches are fully assembled, wrap them in tinfoil and put them on a baking sheet. Then, place them in your heated over for about 10-12 minutes, enough time to warm the sandwiches and crisp the rolls slightly.

Luckily, these aren’t very sensitive so you don’t run a big risk of burning them. So, if you cook the full 12 minutes or a few longer, they’re likely still going to come out just fine.
