Yet another great use for all of your empty three wick candle jars, decorative candy and treat storage! These are great year-round, but Bath & Body Works has especially cute copper lids for their fall candles to re-purpose into a free, seasonal candy jar.
How to Clean Your Three Wick Candle Jars
It’s as simple as cleaning out the wax and removing the labels, but it does take a little elbow grease. Goo gone is a HUGE lifesaver, so buy some the second you decide you’re doing this project. Read more on how to clean your three wick candle jar in this post.
Decorate Your New Candy Jar Festively
M&M’s are the perfect candy for these jars in every way. Candy should never sit out, but also doesn’t need to be stored in the fridge, or away from light, etc. They also come in seasonal colors so they’ll always match your decor. Plus, the 1 lb bag of M&Ms was the perfect size to fill the jar.
Another fun use for these jars that I stumbled upon is dog treat containers! the bag for mine broke and they’re the right quantity to fit in the old candle jar. The jars are air tight, so there’s no reason you can’t store even the freshest of dog treats in them.
Three Wick Candle Jars for Every Season
The color coordinating candy is great, but the lids are really the biggest reason these jars are so festive. And this same concept works for Christmas, Halloween, or any holiday for which they sell festive lidded jars. I have some with snowflakes that I’ll be using for a winter candy dish. Come spring I’ll be hunting for spring-to-summer flowery, lush lidded candles, too.
Hold on to those festive, fun lids and jars by cleaning them and storing them with your other holiday/seasonal decor for next year, even if you think you have enough.
They make excellent gifting containers especially if you make your own treats for sharing. Let me know what your favorite way to repurpose a three wick candle jar is in the comments!
