Fantasy Football Year 2: Bigger and Better

With one successful season under my belt, I’m coming into my Fantasy Football second year HOT!

First order of business: A huge shout out to my boy Jimmy Garoppolo for signing his rookie year NFL contract with the New England Patriots. Garoppolo is a fellow EIU Alumni and I could not be more excited to see another quarterback rise from O’Brien Stadium to the big leagues! With my league being a two quarterback league, Garoppolo is definitely on my radar for a backup QB spot.

If anyone in my league had an ounce of their wits about them, they’d know this is the place to get an edge on my strategy, but no one’s caught on. Works for me!

Second Year Strategy: What You Now Know

This year I’m diving in deep and reading more about top picks aside from just relying on the Google machine. You can tell everyone is much more serious about it and I want to keep my edge! I finished in second last year and now I have my eyes set on the top prize!

My league is talking about making this year an offline draft, meaning no real-time Yahoo suggestions to rely on for the best available picks. By the time it’s your pick you only have so long to assess who the current, viable players are versus what your team needs (usually about 2:00 minutes) so this preparation will be clutch.

Take a look for yourself and be prepared. After all, the early bird doesn’t take home the Sacko.

Just tuning in now during my second season? Check out some of these resources to get going and drop a hello in the comments! Doesn’t matter what year it is, this information has stood the test of time. As of 2021 I’m still playing strong and would love to answer questions or take suggestions for new articles. Let me know what you think!
