About this new look. My site was in much need of a website makeover, here’s the how and why.
Time for a Website Makeover
I created my original logo in Paint. Yes,ย Microsoft Paint. I was launching the newly branded Food Wine & DIYย and didn’t have better software at my disposal. To this day I still don’t own anything more complex, which is why I called in some help for this job.
Website Makeover: Creating a New Logo
I found my graphic designer on Fiverr, which is an absolute hidden gem. For anyone unfamiliar, Fiverr describes themselves as a marketplace platform for services performed by its users. My translation: it’s a community of freelancers who can do the jobs that customers (like me), need done. They have a pool of freelancers for graphic design, stationary, writing and translation, video, audio, and the list goes on.
The prices are fair (under $30 total, including a well-deserved tip for my designer) so I gave it a shot, and it was worth every penny.

My Amazing Fiverr Graphic Designer
Zain (usernameย rajputfactor), designed the new Food Wine & DIY logo. He’s very talented and is a great collaborator. After looking at his library of work and knowing what I had in mind for the new logo, I knew this would be a good fit.
He provided five original concepts and worked with me through a few revisions of the ones I liked until we reached the final product. Zain also provided a few different versions of the logo (header sized, social media sized, black & white, etc.) so I could use them on different parts of the site. Thanks to his personal business model, he offered unlimited revisions, which was a real selling point for me. Freelancers set their own terms so check those details before hiring someone.
