the space is 99% done and when i say it’s one of my most highly anticipated blog posts (aside from when i introduced the girls, obv) i am not playin’. 🔥

i’ve been spending all my free time working in here again, between the girls’ naps or when alexis wakes up, because she likes to come and hang with me — may have something to do with the fact that i have a mounted tv in here and she has her own little desk too.. 🥰

five months with kenzie char✨
(almost a week late, because life)

she started rolling over mid-august and has been perfecting her craft ever since, especially for the sake of finding nearby toys.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
she’s been told on several occasions that she’s a ‘very loooong five month old’ and we’d have to agree 🙃
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
her favorite toy right now is ‘star star’ her crinkly star toy from her ocean gym. 🌟 but her colorful ryan & rose teething rings are a verrrrrry close second!

and just last night daddy gave her some great big blubber smooches before bath time and she gave us the biggest giggles we’ve ever heard from her! 🥹 truly the best noise ever.

i had two very different pregnancies with my girls and if i had my second pregnancy first, i’m not sure i would’ve wanted to roll the dice on another go at it. i think i really enjoyed my first pregnancy with alexis because it wasn’t as hard on my body.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
kenzie, however… she was awake en utero 24/7 and kicking from weeks 21 to 37 nonstop (i joke that’s why kenz is such a good sleeper now, gf is catching up on those zzz’s) plus terrible pelvic floor pain that i’d never had before in my life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
all of this to say: pregnancies are not all the same. and it’s okay if you didn’t love it or didn’t have a magical experience. not everyone does. and as the years pass your pregnancy will come up less and less because that’s not what’s important long-term. your family is what everyone will remember. 🤍

spoiler alert… this wasn’t the *quickest* video but it was as quick as i could make it in my last minute haste. CHEERS! 🍈

PSA: about halfway through i walk you through how to make the melon ball garnishes which are pretty tricky. if nothing else, reference that part when you go to make your own!

edit: immediately noticed i spelled deuce wrong and am already losing sleep over it, no need to point it out unless thats the kind of thing that helps you sleep at night. 😅
