“Alexa, turn on the entire house” is an actual reality with smart plugs. These are the brand Kevin I have all over our house (seriously, at least five different rooms) and we swear by them. They’re Alexa compatible, can be grouped to turn multiple outlets on and off at once, and can even be set to turn on via in-app timers. We plugged our indoor Christmas lights to an outlet yesterday and it’s so cool to see the whole house light up at once! These are great for anyone with an Alexa (which is seemingly everyone these days).
Electric Coffee Bean Grinder
Good quality coffee is becoming more and more mainstream and the savviest of sippers will tell you that whole bean is the way to go (just ask Kevin). Having an in-home grinder allows connoisseurs to grind their own beans and enjoy an incredibly fresh cup o’joe right in their own [coffee] house.
Mortar and Pestle Set
Perfect for the guacamole lover or resident foodie. I received one off our wedding registry and I LOVE it! With how often I make my homemade guacamole this was a no-brainer. Plus, it seasons each time you use it (like cast iron) for an even higher quality dish each time!
Men’s Buck Camp Flannel Shirt
The two tone fabric caught my eye on these beautifully crafted men’s flannel shirts. I love how it gives them a slightly more formal look but are still a comfortable, relaxed flannel shirt. Kev shouldn’t be surprised if he finds one of these rolled up in his stocking this year 😉 This one and a few other men’s shirts can be found on my list this year.
Amazon Echo Show 8
This is 100% on my Christmas list. We have the Echo and Echo Dot throughout the house, but the Netflix binger in me wants the Echo Show for my kitchen counter so I can watch and cook. It’s a little pricier than its Echo and Echo Dot counterparts, but would be a welcome addition to any techie’s smart home’s team.
Waterproof/Windproof Doggy Jacket
This is a rare actual Bickell Burk add to the list because he owns this exact coat and doesn’t totally hate wearing it (what dog actually loves coats?). It’s easy to put on/take off and is REVERSIBLE. Which is great when it snows or rains because the one solid side is waterproof and cuts our wipe down time in half. Plus, isn’t this pattern adorable? Bickell owns the red one. 🙂
Modern Small-Space Friendly Bench and Table Set
This is one of the priciest items on the list, but it really caught my eye. This is a wonderful gift for a first-time on-their-own’er in need of a dining set. The benches tuck under the table to really optimize space (so much room for activities!). Great for parents or family looking for a bigger piece for their kids, or for friends who want to go in on a bigger gift for their friend’s new place.
Lightsaber Light Up Chopsticks
Are these not the coolest?! There is definitely a big enough crossover of sushi lovers and Star Wars lovers. And for that, there is a gift, and this is it. Also great for a funny grab bag for your game night group or foodies. Not a bad idea for those kiddos you’re trying to introduce to sushi or chopstick use, either.
Colorful Keychain Bracelet Key Rings
I’m obsessed with these! The company, Hadley Mae Designs is a smaller brand that makes these cute, bracelet-sized key rings in multiple fun colors. They’re slowly taking over my Instagram feed and I need one! I feel like my keys will never get lost in my bag again with this big colorful bamboo-shaped ring sticking out of the mess. At this price, they’re great stocking stuffers or a fun addition to your girlfriend’s grab bag gift. NOTE: Hadley Mae has informed me they are low on stock and this pink is the only current option, however, they will be restocked by end of week (around 11/29!).
Amazon Echo Dot and Fire Stick Combo
This bundle saves you a chunk of change and are perfect for the practical people in your life. My office TV is the furthest thing from ‘smart’ and I have a Fire Stick to play Netflix in the background while I’m working and it’s the BEST! Plus, you can never have too many Echo Dots throughout your house, right? This is basically a new homeowner starter kit right here (you can even tell the gift recipient you thought of that yourself 😉 ).
North 30oz Insulated Travel Mug with Removable Handle
This everyday go-to cup option is incredibly functional and is a great gift idea for literally anyone who enjoys hot or cold drinks; is also an easy work-friendly gift exchange idea. But I think I’m most intrigued by the removable handle. So great for taking it from desk to your car’s cup holder. Comes in six different colors and I’m really loving on the pink… might just have to add this to my own list (FYI Kev if you’re reading this 😉 ).
Portable Mini Fridge
The description for this item makes me feel like I need to buy one of these for literally everyone I know immediately. It’s not just a fridge for cooling, it also keeps things HOT! Plus, it comes with both a wall plug and a cigarette lighter adapter (i.e. if you have a long car ride ahead and need to keep something hot/warm). Also a super cute idea for slightly older kids because who wouldn’t want a personal mini fridge for their room?
Furbo Dog Camera and Dog Nanny
I’d be absolutely remiss to not include the Furbo on my list. This is one of the cooler pieces of technology to have come out in the last few years, in my opinion. Crazy dog parents everywhere need one of these and Black Friday season is THEE time of year to get one because it is always on crazy sale! It’s one of the priciest items on the list but it’s currently $50 off on Amazon and has the potential to be even cheaper come Black Friday. Keep an eye on this one, you won’t regret it!
