Spring pieces might be my all-time favorite Rae Dunn pieces. They’re colorful, bright and bring renewed life to my display after the long winters we seem to be having. This year, I put out my Rae Dunn Easter display around the end of February and have been loving it since. Here’s what I added to my Easter display to make it the eye candy it is, and what each piece adds to the overall display. Plus, if you’re on the Rae Dunn hunt, I have many great pieces available in my Mercari storefront!
As you can see, I have a mix of Easter and spring pieces on display. I put them all out at once since they blend so well together. I’m debating putting the Easter pieces away after the holiday, but I also may just leave them until I setup my summer display. It can be a lot of work, so we’ll see how I’m feeling in a month!
Rae Dunn Easter Pieces
With all the stores being closed last year during the biggest spring decor shopping months, I scored a lot of amazing deals once our stores opened again on May 29 (oh yes, I remember the day). So that’s exactly how my spring display got ‘so eggstra’, so fast.
However, adding a few pieces to your collection each year is how I typically build up my decor displays. It’s the best way to do it without breaking the bank, especially with items like Rae Dunn that almost never go on sale. When I find really good ones, I grab a couple and keep a decent stock of brand new Rae Dunn items for sale in my Mercari storefront. Have a look and feel free to message me on there with questions on any pieces!
Other Easter and Spring Decor
The key to a well balanced Rae Dunn display is incorporating a good amount of non-Rae Dunn pieces. They add colors and texture that the simple Rae Dun pieces cannot. Additionally, since most of Rae Dunn’s pieces feature text, I recommend accenting mostly with pieces that don’t include text to avoid over stimulation.
Rae Dunn Display Tips
- Have a mix of both colorful and white pieces to add interest
- Garland is a very easy addition to nearly every Rae Dunn display
- Neutral colored beads like these will be usable year-round
- Colorful beads are a great addition to seasonal decor and are easy to store
- Using a variety of solid colored, textured items (like my grass bunnies and straw Easter eggs) are a great way to add dimension and interest to an otherwise smooth ceramic display
- Grass bunnies are a classic, textured springtime staple to any Rae Dunn or tiered tray display
- Wood signs are nice additions, but use sparingly as most have words like Rae Dunn items
- Add simple patterned items (like faux Easter eggs) throughout the display in small doses to polish off the space
