If you’ve ever had the Crispy Brussels Sprouts appetizer at Cooper’s Hawk or simply enjoy delicious, crunchy sprouts, this recipe is for you. I had them for the first time right before quarantine and have been hung up on them since. So naturally I had to try my hand at making my own. My Sriracha Aioli Brussels Sprouts recipe is wicked easy with really lax prep and only three ingredients.
Sriracha Aioli Brussels Sprouts Ingredients
- Brussels Sprouts (1 cup per person-ish)
- Pepper
- Sriracha Aioli/Mayo (this is mine, but any in a squirt bottle is ideal)
Brussels Sprouts Prep Steps
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Wash and dry Brussels sprouts, cut into quarters.
- Rip apart quartered sprouts and place individual layers on greased/lined cookie sheet.
NOTE: It’s okay if some layers are more like chunks, the outermost layers will typically split easily and the innermost layers will be harder to split. They’ll cook just fine in smaller chunks. - Once sprouts are evenly spread on tray, spray a light layer of cooking oil spray over the sprouts. This will give them a nice crunch when baking. Season lightly with pepper to taste.
- Cook sprouts at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until sprouts are starting to brown on edges.
- Let them cool for a few minutes, top with a few ‘zig zags’ of sriracha aioli/mayo.
Meal Pairing Ideas
One of our favorite meals lately has been meatballs, Brussel sprouts and garlic bread. These sprouts also pair well with a pan seared salmon, or pasta and chicken dishes. You truly can’t go wrong!
When you serve the sprouts I recommend using a flat spatula. The aioli will mix amongst the sprouts while serving to give each bite a light touch of flavor.
Another idea is adding your Brussels sprouts to your pesto chicken pasta for a veggie balance or serving with your deliciously smoked bacon bomb!
