New Starbucks Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher

As a huge fan of pineapple, I was super excited to open my email yesterday morning and see the announcement of this drink. Nothing screams summer or refreshing to me like a cold, tropical fruit drink! Naturally, I took an afternoon caffeine break and jetted over to Starbucks for a grande Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher.

Pineapple Refresher Review

Let’s dive into my full review, shall we?

First Sip Thoughts

Honestly? SO. GOOD. The last few new drinks have been good, and even some not really being repeat orders for me, but this one will for sure be reordered.

Starbucks Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher

It’s light, not overly sweetened and is super refreshing. If you’re a fan of pineapple, I think you’ll really like this. It reminds me of a delicious pineapple cocktail or a Pineapple High Noon sans booze.

Starbucks Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher Nutrition

The nutrition on this drink is as to be expected. It’s higher in sugar, but if you’re not adding more sugar to it (more on that in the next section) it’s a reasonable treat once in a while.

Also, it’s light on caffeine, making it an ideal afternoon pick-me-up, or even a morning bev for the caffeine sensitive crowd like me.

How to Order the Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher

Just as the header explains it, ask for a “(insert size) Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher.

Starbucks Yellow Refresher

My barista asked me if I’d like water or lemonade, and while the lemonade sounds delicious, I personally think it’d be way too sweet.

How to Order Pineapple Refresher

Definitely worth sampling maybe one day, but this drink was sweet enough with just water. By default it’s made with water, so if they don’t ask don’t worry, they aren’t making it with lemonade. “Lemonade instead of water” would be the instruction if you’re looking to give the lemonade variety a try.

Got Coconut Milk?

The new Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher has a nondairy, milky counterpart. The Paradise Drink Starbucks Refreshers beverage adds coconut milk to the Pineapple Passionfruit Starbucks Refresher for what Starbucks is calling ‘a creamy, dreamy, tropical sip’. It’s the yellow equivalent of the Pink Drink. I haven’t tried this one yet but it’s the absolute next item I’ll be ordering from Starbucks, it sounds amazing!

Have I sold you on the Starbucks Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher? Or maybe you’re more into the idea of a Paradise Drink? Either way, I promise you it’s definitely worth a try. And don’t sleep on the delicious little pineapple chunks!
