The access we have to baby goods today is simply amazing. That holds especially true for unique baby gadgets. I’ve found so many solutions to everyday parenting hiccups on Amazon. This is my collection of the best, unique problem solving items I’ve found on Amazon in my first four months of parenthood.
Travel Formula Container
For my fellow formula feeders, you can’t leave the house without it. But what’s the easiest, most sanitary way to bring it on the go? Arguably, I’d say it’s through this travel formula container. The scoop is separate to keep dirty hands from digging into that powder gold and the conversion is simple: one scoop per ounce of distilled water.
Watch my 30 second video on this travel formula container here! This is easily one of the more unique baby gadgets I’ve come across.
On-The-Go Baby Bottle Drying Rack and Carrier
Whether you’re taking trips to grandma’s house or roadtrips across the country, this baby bottle drying rack and carrier is A MUST! We took this on our road trip to Florida and it was one of our top favorite baby travel gadgets.
It’s usability won’t stop there though, this is great for packing up bottles and parts to send to grandma’s house for an overnight trip. It’s all located in one clean, sanitary spot so baby’s bottles are organized and ready for use.

Miss Mouth’s Stain Remover
We were recommended this nontoxic stain remover by a few different people when I asked for suggestions on Instagram, so I gave it a shot. Kev and I are huge fans! It’s safe for baby and effective on stains.
Treat the effected areas before laundering (following their simple steps) and throw the soiled piece in with your regular laundry. It’ll come out looking good as new! For on the go we really liked these road spill wipes, they were clutch on vacation! I also keep some in my purse and diaper bag.
Cloth Braided Pacifier Clip
These cloth braided pacifier clips are ideal for keeping Alexis’ paci nearby and off the floor. They beat the cute silicone clips by a mile, which shocked me at first.
I really liked how those silicone ones looked, but we have one, and it hardly bends, which isn’t ideal. Tiny babies don’t need to be fighting their pacifier clips, they need to be able to teeth on them comfortably (which Alexis does and LOVES). We use these Jolly Pop pacifiers and Alexis has loved them for months now. They’re great for their intended use but are also 100% silicone so sometimes she chews on other parts of it while teething and it’s 100% A-okay.
Extra Large Play Pen
I can’t express enough how great having this extra large play pen is now that Alexis is crawling! Its set up in my office right in front of my desk so I can keep a safe eye on her while I work. She’s confined to the four mesh walls when needed but sometimes I’ll keep the door open to let her figure out how to crawl out.
It was really easy to assemble and has great reviews! Currently, this item has a 4.5 star average with over 4,700 reviews on Amazon. Personally, I wanted to be able to put some sturdier toys in there and to allow them to sit up better I got this foam play mat for underneath the play pen. It’s the exact right size so if you’re looking for the same take my word for it, this one’s the best option!
Rotating Mobile Holder and Lullaby Machine
This is one of the most unique gadgets I’ve come across in the Amazon baby-sphere so far. This little baby mobile lullaby machine has a hook for you to hang any mobile (or toy, etc.) on and will rotate while playing music. This allows you to make virtually anything a mobile for baby!
Plus, if they have a new favorite toy or mobile you can simply switch it out without having to buy an entirely new apparatus. The rainbow mobile and the mobile wall mount pictured are both also from Amazon!
Zipper Closure Silicone Pacifier Case
Having that binky nearby when on-the-go is no joke, especially in the early days of parenthood. However, Alexis really didn’t like having it all the time when she was itty bitty. In comes this silicone pacifier case, that can hang on the outside of the diaper bag, stroller or anything, really, keeping it nearby to avoid those meltdowns.
It comes in a few stunning, neutral colors. We keep her on-the-go pacifier in here on the pacifier holder ready to clip it onto her at any time. If your baby isn’t super big into always having the pacifier but you want it nearby at all times, you need this. You’re welcome, mama!
Bumco Baby Bum Brush
A friend recommended I put these on my registry and we’re SO glad we did! Neither Kevin nor myself have yet to touch diaper cream or a rashy bum ourselves. We use this Baby Bum Brush to apply the diaper cream and smooth it out nicely on her little butt.
The set I linked comes with a mini one for the diaper bag, too. You’re going to want to register for and/or get both of these unique baby gadgets!
Wifi Baby Brezza Bottle Maker
I truly don’t understand how any new parents kept their sanity before the Baby Brezza Bottle Maker. Ours is the Wifi model and you can preset your most used bottles in the app even, so you can easily get a bottle going from the couch (or the store, even!).
It’s essentially a baby Keurig, or at least that’s how we describe it to our friends and family. Seriously, throw it on your baby registry, you’ll thank me later!
Baby Girl Bow Racks
I saw this concept on someone else’s Instagram and I HAD to replicate them for Alexis’ nursery! We keep her solid bows arranged by rainbow color on here and are at these wooden shelves almost daily.
Any bows that are patterned or outfit-specific get kept on the hanger with the outfit so as to not lose it/forget that it goes with a specific piece. Most of these bows come from this 18-pack of baby girl bows that I got for a total steal on a lightning deal! Even off of lightning deal pricing though it’s an incredible value.
Diaper Changing Pad Liners
Diaper changing pad liners were another item I didn’t realize existed until I was making my baby registry. These get placed on your changing pad to prevent you from constantly having to take the nice cover off to wash. They’re a shiny coated liner that wipes up SO easily should baby have any accidents mid-change. Or in our case, diaper blowouts that seep through the outfits, yikes!
A three-pack has been great too because we have a changing station on our main level, too (pictured). So, we keep a changing pad liner on each floor, plus have an extra if one needs to hit the wash. Also, peep my Moses changing basket, also from Amazon. We get so many compliments an it’s a great way to incorporate a temporary changing station into your home decor!
Rechargeable Touch Night Light
We use this rechargeable touch night light every single night. Ever since making Alexis’ room super dark at night (which has definitely helped her sleep) we’ve used this night light when we’ve had to go in there. Simply double tap to turn it on, so even your most sleep deprived self can manage operating this gadget.
“The egg,” as we call it, also dims or brightens so you can use it to locate MIA binkies, toys and more. We leave it on the lowest setting which is plenty to allow us visibility without causing too much stimulation for baby.
The Owlet Sleep Sock
Kevin says time and time again that the Owlet Sleep Sock is one of the best baby items we had ahead of Alexis’ arrival. Of course, we didn’t use it until she was in her crib. With her right beside use in the bassinet it wasn’t needed early on. However, it’s been a game changer since week nine for us.
This sock syncs to the app on your phone. It shows you baby’s heart rate, O2 rate, if she’s awake, any movement patterns and it can even sense if the sock has come off an/or if baby is perhaps stuck somehow. They have different color socks with the initial device now too, or you can shop additional Owlet sock colors here. It’s really one of the coolest gadgets we have and we’ll definitely use it with future babies, too!
Silicone Baby Toy Straps
Never lose another toy out the side of the stroller or car seat again! These silicone baby toy straps have been fabulous for us both on the go and at home. I have one on her stroller, one on the car seat and two at her play table so when she goes to literally everything over the side she can get at least those few toys back on her own.
They’re teething safe and adjust to different toy sizes and lengths. Literally so versatile!
Diaper Changing Pad and Caddy
Chic and practical, this diaper changing pad and cadportdy stores everything I need for even the messiest diaper changes, including a place to put the baby down.
There’s a mesh pocket that’s perfect for diapers and a few soiled diaper bags. Then, there’s the zipper pocket where I keep basically everything. Wipes, diaper cream and the travel Bumco paddle also featured in this article all live here.
Electric Nail File
I cannot say enough good things about this electric nail file! Filing down Alexis’ nails is SO easy with this baby gadget. Adults can use it too, but it’s by far most beneficial to tiny little hands that don’t sit still.
They have different plates with different levels of roughness as your baby grows and nails become harder and need more to file them down. I highly recommend adding an electric nail file to your growing baby gadget list!
Touchless Baby Thermometer
This touchless baby thermometer is the only way to take a baby’s temp! Ever use a regular one and have to hold it in their mouth for 30 seconds or however long? Yea, they don’t tend to love that. This one takes a second to scan their forehead and digitally gives you the temp immediately.
If you know a parent without one, or have a mom to be who doesn’t have one on her registry grab one as a little add on gift. She’ll thank you every time she has to take a temp for years to come!
Do you own any of these unique baby gadgets? I’d love to hear your experience or recommendations in the comments. Plus, if there are any other unique baby gadgets out there that I’ve missed please, please, PLEASE let me know in the comments. There’s very little I cherish more than a life-improving gadget, especially when it comes to parenting!
