It was a cupcakes-for-dinner kind of night. Unsure if this was a first or not, and only time will tell if it was a last. However, with Flirty Cupcakes Chicago right around the corner from my apartment, this craving was easily made a reality.
I have the pleasure of living between my train stop and one of the two Flirty Cupcakes Chicago Dessert Garage locations. Long days at work are made just that much better with a sweet little treat in front of your DVR afterwards.
Best Cupcakes at Flirty Cupcakes Chicago
I always have a soft spot for chocolate cake or chocolate chip cookie when my sweet tooth calls. So, I was in luck when the Me Want Cookie Dough cupcake was waiting for me when I got off that El today. In true form, though, I saw another good looking item and asked about it, which led to a second purchase, the McDreamy cupcake.
Me Want Cookie Dough
A chocolate cake, filled with gooey cookie dough filling, topped with cookie dough pieces.
I was a BIG fan of this treat. Loved the cake, the cookie dough tasted sweet but not so decadent that it gives you that too-much-sugar pucker-face. Suggestion to the gang at Flirty: watch the top perimeter of the cake so it doesn’t get hard. Mine wasn’t hard per se, but it was a noticeably different toughness. Still a great choice, nonetheless!
McDreamy
A chocolate cake filled and topped with cream cheese frosting, garnished with chocolate chips. (You can pick your jaw up now).
I originally stopped in for the cookie dough treat but this one was my favorite of the two. The balance of the cream cheese frosting on the rich chocolate cake with just a little dab of cream cheese in the middle, it’s the perfect taste.
I can’t wait to try some of their other treats! The giant cookies look amazing and these milk shots their website has on the menu sound dee-lish!
